Kiss It BetterRemember a time in the past when your child was ill and all you wanted to do is to kiss it better? This is what our “Kiss it Better” appeal is all about. Founded by Carmen Allen, whose daughter was treated at the Hospital for Neuroblastoma, the appeal aims to raise money for research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer – sadly still the highest cause of childhood mortality outside of accidental death. Money raised by Kiss it Better will help to fund specialist nurses to enable more children to participate in clinical trials.

To give you an idea of how important this research is, please bear in mind that in 1962, fewer than 1% of children diagnosed with leukaemia survived longer than 4 years. Today, over 90 per cent of cases involving the most common form of leukaemia are cured long-term.

So, how can you support this amazing appeal you ask? If you love make-up, why not perfect your pout with Clinique’s limited edition Smoothie Kisses Lip Gloss Set; for every set sold in February at selected House of Fraser stores and the Clinique website, £4 will be donated to the appeal. Clinique will also be donating £2 for every lipstick or lip gloss sold at House of Fraser stores.

This is just one of the many ways you can support the Kiss it Better appeal. Whether you’d prefer to donate through the website, buy limited edition Clinique make-up, bake some scrumptious cakes or buy that special someone a Valentine’s Day gift, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved.  Have a look at our website to see all of the ways in which you can support this appeal.
